DVD Player The DVD player is at the heart of your home theater system, since you can rely on it to play your favourite movies in the highest quality possible and with many extra features and surprises. These days, you can find DVD players for cheap prices, because it is so popular and in demand. Your home theater is not likely to need a very fancy DVD player, so you don't have to invest a large amount of money in it.
The Receiver
The receiver is just as important, if not more, as your DVD player for your home theater system. It channels the video and audio outputs to the television set and the speakers and directs them to the specific components. The receiver will let you hear the surround sound you want and enjoy the clear display quality any home theater system should have. Sometimes you can find a combination of the DVD player and the receiver.
Speakers
The speakers complete the home theater experience in the most perfect way, just like in a movie theater. You can enjoy imagining a plane flying over your head or a car zooming through your living room thanks to the surround sound system. You need at least five speakers and a subwoofer, which takes care of the base sounds. No home theater system is complete without a good set of speakers!
