Additional Components For Your Home Theater System. by Tali Sarnetzky
You know that the three major components, or basic components, of any good home theater system are the television set, the DVD player and the speakers. You also know that in addition to these three components, if you have a bigger room in which you want to set up your home theater, you can add furniture, more speakers, a bigger television set, a projector and so on.
But even if you have a small room in which you can set up your home theater system, you can add other electronics to your system for a greater enjoyment. Your DVD player may include a receiver, which will save you the expense of buying a separate one for your home theater system. In any case, you can use this component, which is at the heart of your home theater system, for hooking up components such as your stereo system. Through this connection, you can listen to your music through the high quality speakers of your home theater system.
Or how about hooking up your VCR and using it to watch movies you recorded from TV or shows you love? Instead of throwing those old video tapes you may have bought or recorded a while back, hook your VCR up to your receiver and use your home theater to enjoy them! Granted, the quality won't be the same as watching a DVD, but you can still enjoy those old recordings with your home theater system.
I know that vinyl records have gone out of style, but many people still keep their collections for memory's sake. Think of how wonderful it could be to hook up a relatively cheap turntable to your receiver and enjoy the wonderful music of yesteryear with the surround sound system of your home theater speakers!
Or how about listening to MP3 music from your computer, which you can burn onto CD's and use your DVD player to play with your new home theater speakers!
Even listening to your daily TV shows can sound better and be more enjoyable with the speakers of your new home theater system. If you invest in this amazing experience of watching movies at high quality of display and sound in your own home, why not enjoy other daily activities through the same system?! You might as well use your home theater system in many ways, not only for watching your favourite movies!
